In February 2019 the Trust were made aware that this vehicle was no longer required at the Rother Valley Railway and that they were looking to find a new home for it.

The Trust contacted David Felton at the Rother Valley Railway and after some discussions, it was kindly agreed that it would be donated to the Trust.

Due to Covid / Lockdowns and several other factors, it was not collected from the Rother Valley Railway at Robertsbridge until 21 September 2022. It was collected and moved by Calcutt & Son, to The Tanat Valley Light Railway, near Oswestry to join The Rail Trolley Trust – Shropshire Collection.

The original details of this vehicle were:

Permaquip Panex Clip Extractor
Permaquip Works No. 205
Built in 1980
Running No. 54/187 or 54187

Help Needed

The Trust unfortunately do not have any technical or operating documentation or paperwork relating to this vehicle, so if anyone can assist in locating or providing any please get in contact with the Trust.

Fund Raising

The Trust has recently launched a significant public fundraising appeal to raise a minimum of £10k and hopefully nearer £20k. This funding will be used to move more of our collection to our two secure locations, provide further suitable storage accommodation for some of our older & more historic vehicles and make some significant progress on several important restoration projects.

Donations can be made as follows:

Direct transfers to our Charity (Business) Account:

Account: The Rail Trolley Trust
Sort Code: 30-98-90
Account No: 17492768

Or otherwise, please give via our Givey account by clicking HERE

The Trust hope to add a charity PayPal account in the coming weeks.

Everyone’s urgent support would be very much appreciated.

Thank You

The Trust would like to thank the David Felton / Rother Valley Railway for deciding to gift this vehicle to the Trust.

Also, Calcutt & Son for carrying out the move very professionally and efficiently.
